Welcome to Montessori With Multiples

My name is Tabitha, a mother to fiercely independent twin boys, a spirited singleton girl, and an angel baby girl. I’m married to my best friend, and together we’re raising our growing family in Canada. Here I blog about all things Montessori parenting with multiples— that’s Montessori twins & Montessori with multiple children.

Multiple Beginnings…

My love for Montessori began during my first pregnancy.

It felt like a natural extension of the values we already held close. We wanted to raise curious and confident children in a home shaped by a slower rhythm. One that made space for wonder, child-led independence, and a greater connection with nature. A space where children are supported as they grow to learn at their own pace. Where we as adults, positioned as their guides, continue to grow right alongside them.

When I found out I was expecting twins, everything shifted.

Like any mother, I wanted to give my children the very best of what I could offer. The prospect of twins was a thrilling surprised I could have never have imagined for our story.

With two babies arriving at once, I felt the need to be even more intentional. I immersed myself in Montessori principles, eager to apply them in our home. I stacked my reading list, streamed podcasts and connected with other Montessori guides in search of answers and reassurance. What I found, though, was a surprising gap. There was very little guidance on Montessori with twins, and even less for families with multiples.

So I began writing this blog.

Sharing Our Montessori Life

This space is an honest reflection of motherhood through a Montessori lens, shaped by the unique rhythm of raising twins and growing our family. I share the ordinary and the unexpected, the moments that feel aligned and the ones that require us to pause, adjust, and try again.

Here, you’ll find a thoughtful look at what it means to bring Montessori into the home in a practical and approachable way. Not sure if Montessori at home is compatible with raising twins? I assure you, this is something you can do. I talk about what works for us, what needed reworking, and what we’ve let go of along the way. My goal is to always keep things simple, realistic, and budget friendly. You won’t find affiliate links or curated perfection here. Instead, my promise to you is genuine reflection of motherhood, with solutions that often come from secondhand finds and plenty of lived experience.

Life with multiples is intense. It is busy, sometimes overwhelming, but always deeply rewarding. My twin boys bring constant movement and imagination into our days, while their little sister adds her own gentle rhythm to our home.

Some days don’t go as planned, while other’s are a rotating mix joys and challenges. Together, our children continue to remind me what it means to grow, to be patient, and to find beauty in the learning process. I can genuinely say, my children have made me a better person.

If you are raising twins or multiples and looking for thoughtful ideas, honest experiences, and a sense of guidance, you are in the right place.

I’m so glad you found us.

Out of respect for my children, I share their stories with care.

Close up of 3 UNDER 2 YEARS OLD

Throughout this blog our children’s names are kept to initials, and images of their faces are limited to new born photos. You won’t find any personal social media accounts, or disclosures of sensitive information. I want them to have the freedom to shape their own digital presence when they are ready.
